David Wilkerson's message December 2. 2009:
"Paul wrote, “We beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand” (2 Thessalonians 2:1-2).
Scoffers point out, “See, someone in the early church shook up believers with the message that Christ was about to come. And Paul told them, ‘No, don’t worry about it. Don’t let it trouble or concern you.’”
But that is not what the original Greek reveals. The root word is “[be not shaken]…that the day of the Lord has come.” What disturbed the Thessalonians was they thought Christ had already come, and that they’d missed it. Paul reassures them in the next verse, “Let no man deceive you by any means; for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition” (2:3). Paul was only addressing their fears when he said, “Don’t be worried, because two things have to happen first.”
So, what was Paul’s primary theology about Christ’s return? We find it in two passages: “Knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand” (Romans 13:11-12). “Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand” (Philippians 4:5). Paul is crying, “Wake up! It’s past midnight already. The Lord’s coming is drawing near, so stir yourself. Don’t be slothful. Jesus is coming for those who expect him.”
Skeptics may ask, “But what about Paul’s own words? He did say two things had to happen before Christ returns. First, the Lord can’t come until a great apostasy takes place. And second, the Antichrist has to rise up and proclaim himself God. We have to see the Antichrist sitting in the temple, demanding that people worship him, before Jesus will come.”
First of all, you have to be willfully blind not to see a raging apostasy gripping the whole world. Unbelief is sweeping through nations, with believers falling away from faith on all sides. The apostasy Paul refers to has clearly arrived.
Some may say, “Paul clearly says Jesus can’t come until the Antichrist is in power.” Consider what Scripture says: “Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son” (1 John 2:22). According to John, the Antichrist is anyone who denies the Father and the Son. Moreover, he says, the increase of such Antichrists is proof we are living in the very last days. In short, nothing is holding back Christ’s return!"

David Wilkerson.
I think this is the only time I've ever been a bit disappointed or in disagreement of David Wilkerson and his words. Not all of them. Just the last part.
Personally, I don't consider myself a skeptic, but I firmly believe that Paul's words about the "man of sin" that shall "exalt himself above all that is worshiped or called god, so he sets himself in the temple of God and shows himself off as if he were God", is literally true, and a sign Paul told us about, because some disciples have the need to know it, because they are chosen to be doing a special task in the very last days of this age. So they'll not loose faith at the last, long stretch of the race..

It's written about them in the last parts of Daniel's book. If you're one of them that feel or just know that you need to know these things, you better read it. Well. And do, I beg you, cross-reference to Matthew 24, where Jesus talks to His disciples; "when they were alone" Consider that he said to them, not to the people, but His disciples: "When YOU then SEE the abomination of desolation stand on the holy place.." That one will be set up 1290 days after the "daily offerings is brought to an end", according to Daniel.
That can only happen in a resurrected temple, and make no mistake: The stones are ready, cut and numbered. Just waiting for the moment when they can be put together at the right place "where God has chosen a place to let His Name dwell". That is the Temple mount. If you don't believe me, just look up the article of the first time in over 600 years when the San-Hedrin assembled. That happened in the beginning of the new millennium, and had two things to accomplish:
1) To locate for certain where Herod's Temple once stood [It was determined it was right where the Dome of the Rock is now], and
2) to get the Levites ready and prepared to take up the offerings. The Levites are ready to take up the daily offerings for sins now, since they haven't accepted that Jesus made the perfect offer and that what they are performing is a shadow of something that was to be, and was, fulfilled about 2000 years ago. But then the daily offering is brought to an end!
I present the thought, that this can only happen if "god" sits in the temple, and has made lawlessness the law. There's no need to make offerings for sins anymore, when everything is allowed, as long as you fall down and worship him, and enter into the "New Age". "Their Messiah", which will be "the lawless one" that Paul tells the Thessalonians about, has come and sits in the temple. That's the only reasonable and fulfilling explanation to the Words long written down.. And Jesus points to Daniel when saying this. Strong hint that there's something hidden in plain sight there, that Jesus wants us to know!

Jerusalem at Jesus' time.

Then Daniel's book says: "Blessed is the one who prevails and wait until the 1335 days." And Jesus' Words says; "Because then there will be such tribulation that never has been and never again shall be. And if those days weren't shortened [or "made few", "only" 45 days, if you use faith and simple math..] NO FLESH would be saved.."
Everybody would be dead from persecution and other strife! Rotting meat! And Jesus wants someone to still be alive when He sends His angels to gather His elect and lift them up unto Himself in the sky.. Paul revealed that secret to us. Do you know where he teaches this? If not, you better find out.. The day of the Lord is nearing..

My God. I hope I have got enough oil to keep my lamp lit through the night, so I'm ready when You return, whether I'm sleeping or awake, dead or alive. If not, I pray that you show me and tell me and force me to become one of those whose lamp will never flicker and die.. Amen.
Love. In truth.
